I’ve been wanting to go to the Burning Man festival for over half a decade now, so I recently started looking at what it would cost to get a group together in a rental RV and go (it’s 600 miles from LA). Well, the cost is a little prohibitive for the majority of my friends, especially with Cameron and Natalie’s wedding comming up. Sooo… while looking up RV rental options on Craig’s List I came accross an add by three people who were a little farther along in thier plans than I was. They already had an RV lined up and only needed three more bodies to help reduce thier costs. What could I do but answer it?
Today I met with two of the trio just to make sure they weren’t psychos or something. I actually ended up liking them even more than I thought I would. They say most people know if others are of the personality that they are looking for within 5 seconds of seeing them. Even from a photo. I definately had that happen with the head girl of the group. I’d almost say I have a little crush on her. How do you have a crush on somebody you don’t know? I think it has more to do with a desire that you can’t express: I wouldn’t want to jeopardize the trip’s complacency by making a stupid pass at her. Oh well, I don’t think I have anything to worry about. There’ll be more women than I can shake a stick at where I’m going!
I’m going to enjoy this trip a lot. It’ll be nice to get out of the house, without my boss. No offense Adam! I do enjoy our camping trips! It’s only too bad that I’ll have to take work with me. Oh well, I can’t party that hard constantly. Work may be a welcome down time… or maybe not. We’ll see.

Europe Trip '05;
mySpace Blog :.
So, now that I’ve mentioned my trip to Europe, I may as well, rant about it as well. Originally this trip was to consist of me, alone, for a month in Europe, but somehow my best bud Nadine has weaseled her way into my plans and extended the trip by 100%! j/k You know I love ya Dee!
I totally can’t wait for this freaking trip to begin happening. My only fear is that I won’t want to come back! And in actuality, I’m kind of looking for a place to hang out for a couple of years. I’m absolutely tired of LA and it’s people. Anyway it’s my turn to be an illegal alien. Although now that I think of it: most of Mexico (I like the Yucatan) is out of the question, but Nicaragua is totally open.
Just for those that give a hoot (Adam?) here’s the schedule:
Fly to Maui for Cameron’s Wedding on the 22nd of September, and come back on the 28th. Then Nadine and I leave for Paris on October 4th, and return sixty-four days later on December 6th! God, that’s a long trip!
I’m definately wanting to hit up as many countries in Eastern Europe as is safe to do. And Spain just looks so freaking awesome to me right now. I hope Nadine’s up for taking our time and getting to know some of the locals in some of the more rural areas, and sampling every beer we come accross (I know she’s up for that).
Oh well, gonna try for some sleep again.

Travel & Places;
mySpace Blog :.
Hey look at that, I just watched the callendar roll over into August. Fucking great. No sleep for me. Anyway, I’m bored enough to rant about some travelling I’m going to do pretty soon.
Cameron’s wedding is being held in Hawaii. Asshole couldn’t pay for us so I had to get some of us organized and bought four plane tickets, a room for seven nights, and a rental car. It’s only running us about $630 a piece for the whole week… which is damn good for Maui. Kinda proud of myself for finding that fare!
Shane and I are still trying to figure out how to get three (a 9′3″, a 9′6″, and a 10′0″) surfboards over there without breaking the bank. We’d have to pick up a hard shell case to get them there and back, and I think the airlines charge an extra $100 a board… each way! Oh well, might just pay to find some rentals or used crap over there.
And this trip will be a little bit of a test for Nadine and my trip to Europe two weeks later.

Insomnia;

I did a two hour work out, just to tire myself out enough to crash afterwards. I was exhausted. Then my head hit the pillow, and bam: I’m wide awake. I’m so tired (excuse the pun) of this not being able to sleep bs.
