Life is about perceptions. How you perceive events that occur around you may not be how someone else views them. But which view is real? Neither? Both?

I feel that the ability to understand this is what makes one emotionally mature, if not intelligent. For example: this guy is absolutely brilliant.

I’ve put a great deal of thought into the double-slit experiment (more specifically Feynman’s expansion and theories on it), and I would have to admit that it’s rather hard for me to wrap my brain around. Even though I’ve watched enough Star Trek to understand the basics of it all, I still find it hard to believe that it’s much more than sci-fi or the ‘if a tree falls in the forest’ b/s. Even worse, I find that I truly have a desire to educate myself in quantum physics, as I find the philosophic nature of it all rather disturbing and very thought provoking. Ugh… that’s going to be a bunch of expensive classes and books when I get to that level in my education.

Now, please excuse me while I finish off my bottle of Merlot. :)
